Lenovo announces new ThinkStation E30 workstation, ThinkCentre M81 desktop

From speedy processing for data crunching with intriguing graphics capabilities to ascertaining a productive computing interaction through compact form factors, Lenovo’s latest solutions integrate all. The recently unfurled ThinkStation E30 workstation and ThinkCentre M81 desktop from the company put forth surpassing performance with second-generation Intel Core processors.

Designed to complement users’ taste for exquisite models, the new workstation and desktop ensure fast boot up and shut down alongside additional productivity features. The fashionably carved ThinkStation E30 offers users choices of second-generation Intel Core processor technology with up to four cores for fast computing when accompanied by an Intel Xeon processor.

The incorporated Intel Turbo Boost technology enables Lenovo’s new units to overclock on performance-laden tasks. The workstation also provides choices of Nvidia Quadro or NVS graphics and of 80 gigabyte or 160 gigabyte solid state drive. Apart from this, the E30 features SATA III and USB 3.0 for expeditious data transfer speeds. Memory-related failures are eliminated with the device’s up to 16 gigabyte of 1333mHz Error Correcting Code memory.

“Workstation users need the kind of performance that lets them do more each minute. The ThinkStation E30 workstation builds on our strong workstation platform, combining new rapid processing for data-crunching with more vivid and intense graphics capabilities,” pointed out Tao Gu, executive director and general manager, Workstation Business Unit, Lenovo. “We created the ThinkStation E30 workstation to offer extremely powerful processing on a software-certified solution at desktop prices.”

The ThinkCentre M81, on the other hand, comes in tower and small form factor with choices of second-generation Intel Core processors, storage up to 160 gigabyte solid state drives and Intel HD graphics or ATI discrete Radeon graphics. There’s support for SATA III and USB 3.0 as well.

Lenovo’s machines have also been optimized for fast start up and shut down time under the company’s Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7 program. Outlined to render high levels of energy efficiency with reduced environmental footprints, the devices further walk with a DVD burner/player and address office place security by including port disablement and Lenovo’s Hardware Password Manager to manage encrypted hard drives.

The new ThinkStation E30 will be made available starting in May, while ThinkCentre M81 will hit shelves in late April. Pricing for models starts at approximately $629 (approx Rs. 27,924) and $599 (approx Rs. 26,592), respectively.
